Housing Support for Vulnerable People
Meeting the housing needs of the more vulnerable members of our community is a major priority of all local government organisations and their partners in Somerset. Whether young or old, financially excluded or experiencing other forms of inequality, lacking safe, warm and appropriate accommodation potentially has a long-term effect on the health and wellbeing of them and their families. This is recognised in the priorities detailed in the Somerset Strategic Housing Framework.
In particular, Priority 2 is to make best use of the of sub-region’s existing housing stock, and Priority 3 is to meet the housing and accommodation related support needs of Somerset's most vulnerable and least resilient residents..
This section features data and intelligence on topics related to these priorities.
