The most recent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Somerset comprising documents was carried out in 2011. This updated and refreshed the previous JSNA, produced in 2008, and featured two special sections focussing on issues posing particular challenges to the county: housing (which cuts across many areas of wellbeing) and health and wellbeing in the older population.
While the documents comprising the 2011 JSNA remain valid, some of the facts and figures have been updated and expanded in the JSNA 2012 and on the themed pages elsewhere on this website.
