Opinions and Attitudes
From time to time, public services carry out research into the opinions and attitudes of Somerset residents. This can take various forms and may have differing objectives. For instance, the 2008 Place Survey was part of a national programme to assess and compare attitudes of adults to their local area and services and the Somerset Children and Young People Survey (SCYPS) was launched in 2014 to gather vital information about healh and wellbeing of students in the county's schools and colleges. Other work, either in the form of questionnaires or focus groups, has sought to gather opinions of current or potential service users to inform decisions about improving or commissioning specific services for specific groups.
