Having sufficient accommodation to meet the increasing needs of people is of course vital. However, ensuring that this accommodation is of sufficient quality and comfort to enable safe and healthy independent living is also very important. This is recognised in the priorities detailed in the Somerset Strategic Housing Framework.
In particular, Priority 2 is to make best use of the of sub-region’s existing housing stock, and Priority 3 is to meet the housing and accommodation related support needs of Somerset's most vulnerable and least resilient residents..
This section features data and intelligence on topics related to these priorities, and will be expanded during the coming weeks.
