Local Community Networks (LCNs) are a new concept for the Somerset Council unitary authority and are designed to be 'the voice of the community' to help with setting local priorities and raising local issues.
There are 18 LCNs across the county, made up of groups of Parishes. More information about what they are and how they work can be found on the Somerset Council web site.
Below you can view profiles for each of the LCNs covering basic information from the 2021 Census. We intend to create more detailed profiles in the future.

The number of ‘highly deprived’ neighbourhoods in Somerset (categorised as being within the 20% most deprived in England) increased to 32 in IMD 2025, up from 29 in IMD 2019. (Indices of Deprivation 2025).
